STAG

Enterprise Architecture (EA) is complex because it involves aligning diverse business processes, information systems, and organizational setups towards strategy. It requires understanding and integrating various components like business, data, application, and technology architectures. To simplify this complexity, we made a framework and written a book that introduces EA in an easy-to-understand manner, ensuring you gain substantial knowledge while navigating through the intricate aspects of EA.

STAG is an ideal foundation for starting with EA.

The book

Our goal is to create an inviting way to learn about EA and its importance, along with some basic concepts. Which is why we made an informative novel, blending education with an engaging story. Our book follows Giorgio, a consultant tasked with guiding an Italian vineyard supply company into the new digital age. As he navigates through the company’s challenges, you’ll learn how he applies EA principles to help guide the company. Through his journey, you meet intriguing characters, learn about his personal pleasures and problems all the while learning yourself about enterprise architecture and STAG.

About us

As seasoned consultants with over 30 years of combined experience in Enterprise Architecture across diverse industries, we have witnessed the challenges companies face in aligning strategy with operations. Our passion for EA led us to develop STAG, a framework designed to simplify and showcase the true value of EA. Drawing from our extensive consulting experience, we distilled our insights into a practical book, offering clear guidance on how to effectively implement EA to enhance organizational performance.

Background

What is enterprise architecture?

While there’s no globally accepted definition, Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a discipline, but also a strategic framework for aligning business processes, information systems, and technologies to achieve organisational goals. It provides a blueprint for standardizing and optimizing operations, improving decision-making, and adapting to change.

This not only sounds complicated but this is a very complex field, our goal is to make EA accessible and understandable for everyone while still providing value and being applicable to real life companies.

“The real value of Enterprise Architecture is not in making better architectures…it’s in making better enterprise.”

Gary Doucet, Chief Architect, Government of Canada Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat GC
